I just received a copy of my Transunion report, and I have a question about my Nextcard account listing. I've had the account open and "paid or paying as agreed" for 4 months, thought the credit report lists it as: "In prior 14 months from last update never late." I am just building my credit history, and I was denied credit recently, so I got a free copy of this report based on that fact. Is the extra 10 months of never late payments working to my benefit, or does it have no effect? I'm curious at to whether or not I should fill out the form to report an error. Any feedback would be appreciatd!

It can't hurt. The longer your good payment history the better. Why report it?

    Matt,

I think that is a default rating and you should not worry over it. It means you are in good standing. Make sure your account opened date is correct.

    Peace,
