I just received my Trans Union Credit Report and I'm confused about something. I had a banruptcy that discharged in 1998. Some of the accounts that were discharged are listed as "included in bankruptcy" while others are listed as "Profit & Loss writeoff" or "charged off as bad debt" Do I need to dispute in order to get all of the accounts listed as "included in bankruptcy" ? The way my report looks right now, it seems I have 5 accounts that were charged off due to non-payment when in actuality they were in my bankruptcy. Currently I have a mortgage, car loan, and Providian (all never late)and have a new Cap 1 card on it's way.. but those are the only accounts I actual HAVE at this time... Also, I'm showing TWO mortgages... what happened is the company changed the account numbers and now it looks like I have two mortgages! Any advice woudld be great!
Yeah, the best thing to do would be to dispute, same thing with the mortgage thing, these are all creditor mistakes. Alex http://www.Creditinsiders.com
