That's really not going to buy you anything, besides you are shooting yourself in the foot if you are trying to rebuild. HHld obviously doesn't care about the old account, since they gave you a new account. The HSBC account looks like its actually being reported accurately. You really need your reports directly from the CRAs to clarify that. True Credit does not show everything. Who did you send this letter to? If you are writing to Midland, and sending it to a general mail address, your letters are not getting past the desk jockeys. Locate the Secretary of State's website for your state, and see if they have a Registered Agent. Send the letter to them. Alternatively, if you can google around and find Midland's General Counsel, try sending a letter to them.
Dispute Midland . . . Can't report "open" type account. Can't report status as "past due 120 days." Must report date of major first delinquency and date of last activity. Can't report as data factoring. You're wasting your time with HSBC. It ain't going anywhere unless you sue them.
Okay, I sent my letters to the Aero Dr San diego address. Anyone have the general counsel address? Or should I dispute the items via. the CRA'S? As far as HSBC goes on my individual reports by the CRA's not truecredit, the items mentioned earlier in this thread i.e. date first major delinquency reported, date of last activity etc. on the HSBC entry all have n/a or are blank next to them. Can I dispute this as well and if so should I go through the CRA's or HSBC?
Midland Credit Management is owned by Encore Capital Group, Inc. General Counsel for Encore is Robin R. Pruitt. Main address for Encore is 5775 Roscoe Ct, San Diego, CA 92123
Thanks so much, so I should send them a dispute letter or the CRA's? Also which letter should I send a verification letter or a more litigous one? They have ignored me twice already with verification letters to Aero Dr address.
