Is there any way to tell which agency credit cards pull from? I have a few sub-prime cards but only want one or two good ones. All three of my reports are different, one is excellent and the other two are so-so.
Check out Barry N.'s website: www.creditmania.com. There is a nice section with lots of lenders, and the typical credit report(s) pulled with these lenders.
Barry's list is an excellent start, but the report used by a lender can vary from region to region. Roughly 20% of my results have been different from what Barry's list would predict. You can find posts here about specific lenders that would supplement the list. But as I said, the list is an excellent start. It can save you a lot of effort.
