I had it done last year when I bought my home. There were several pieces of information on my credit report that were inaccurate (I know...shocking). I supplied doc's to my loan officer that proved the inaccuracies and they were updated within, I think, 48 hours. My loan officer also had my lease, which was always paid on time, added to my credit file, and a collection that had been illegally reaged and past the SOL to boot mysteriously dissappeared from my reports. The result was a nice boost in my scores so that I could qualify for a first time homebuyers program. By the way, in Ohio, if you've previously owned a home but it has been more than 3 years since that time, you can still qualify for a first time home buyer's program. Another result was that my credit reports were a little less cluttered. Hope this helps. Good luck!
