I know that the hard inquiries of the past 12 months will be counted for credit score calculation. But how much does one inquiry reduce the score?
I have a lot of hard inquiries posted on my credit report during the december of last year. Will these be removed from credit score calculation in the coming december or the January of next year? I concern this because I plan to apply for a new card in the coming December. Should I postpone to next January?

All inquiries remain for two years. Most scoring uses only the last year and there seems to be emphasis on the previous six months.

Remember also that inquiries on one CR may not be important if a different CRA is used.

You'll have to wait until January to avoid the one year inclusion if you want to play it safe.

Most of the hard inquiries were made during last December. I just wonder what the "one year" means. If i apply in the coming December, the one year is from January to the coming December or from Last December to the coming December. I need a reward card for christmas purchase, so I want to make it clear.
