At least one tradeline over 3 years old hasn't done me a bit of good. I have a Citibank MC that just turned 8 years old, but I frequently get cited for "length of credit history" or "number of established accounts."

I think the number of accounts over 3 (or 2) years old has to be at least 2 or it hurts your score. Remember Barry N's information from an AmEx rep that they require 2 accounts open for 2 years.

That they didn't use the FICO score as their example in that presentation is not lost on me.

Yeah, George, if I am reading that chart right, having 2 or 3 delinquencies that you later brought current gives you 29 points.

Profitability score, hehe. Late fees, default interest rates, other penalties, but ultimately it all got paid and the CCC made a lot of money off you, therefore you get 29 points.

Am I reading that one wrong? That is sooooo blatant.
