I have been working this credit thing for about 2 years now. My scores are still low due to some "stubborn" collection items that keep coming back as verified. I recently paid off my remaining credit card that had a high balance. How many points does this usually increase your score by? I still have a car loan that I have paid on time for a year. I have about 3 collections and 2 judgments(1 satisfied). What can I do to increase my score quickly? I want to do some real estate investing!

You mean aside from paying the outstanding collections and satisfying the judgment? *shrug* Don't think there's much you can do.

As for the collections, you can probably have them removed by using the pay for delete tactic (you pay the bill if they agree to delete the tradeline). As for the judgment... hell, I'm in the same boat there.

    Are the collections all legit?
