From all my reading on this board, it is believed that if you challenge items with Equifax, they are excluded from the FICO calculations. Does anyone know if this is also true for TU or Experian? I noticed on their fake web site, Experian doesn't seem to make any adjustments for scoring except to freeze the score ---it doesn't improve the score simply by challenging the bad items. TU I haven't been able to figure. Thanks for helping! It' s mortgage time and I need above 620.
The account will not be added into your FICO while in dispute ----BUT----- a majority of the time your report is pulled more then once before your closing date. Which could lead to major heartache for you later if items are not deleted. As far as I know EQ is the only one that does not include negative info in dispute into your scores. Good luck to you.
