on my credit report it reports the same credit card 3 different times with different dates: the original, rec'd new one for one that was lost and my latest - why is that? also it shows my last credit union checking account with a line of credit as one of the items - is that legit?
Yes, if you had a line of credit, that should show up on your reports. As for the credit card, it should only show up once if it's the same account number in each instance. So, if it truly is the same account number, I'm not sure why it would be reported 3 times. That doesn't make much sense to me.
Even if it's a replacement with a different number, call them up and ask them if they can just change the number and report it as the same account.
