Ok, I started trying to repair my credit in February of 2000. I have used my own letter writing skills and those of Junum. For the most part, I'm happy with the combined results. Here is a sketch of how far I've come: EXPERIAN 2/18/00 -16 Negatives -4 Positives -15 Inquiries 2/20/01 -12 Negatives -5 Positives -13 Inquiries 5/14/01 -12 Negatives -6 Positives -18 Inquiries (no thanks to Progressive) 9/6/01 -7 Negatives -8 Positives -18 Inquiries 10/20/01 -6 Negatives -9 Positives -8 Inquiries EQUIFAX 2/11/00 -11 Negatives -4 Positives -10 Inquiries (Hard only) 2/20/01 -9 Negatives -4 Positives -16 Inquiries 6/4/01 -9 Negatives -6 Positives -18 Inquiries 9/4/01 -9 Negatives (1 is duplicated) -7 Positives -22 Inquiries TRANS UNION 2/21/01 -10 Negatives -6 Positives -13 Inquiries 4/13/01 -10 Negatives -7 Positives -14 Inquiries 5/31/01 -11 Negatives (Why? dunno) -8 Positives -13 Inquiries 9/24/01 -6 Negatives -8 Positives -14 Inquiries Summary: Experian has been the easiest with deletions of every type. Trans Union is the next easiest with Equifax falling dead last. They refuse to delete duplicates and inquiries. Overall, my persistence has and will continue to pay off. I am obsessed with this whole credit thing and will not stop until I have a Platinum Citi in my hand at prime rates.
Congrats on the good work! I think obsessed for me would be an understatement! My hubby said I spend more time 'fixing' the credit reports than spending time with him, although he said he'd wait to file for divorce once I've cleaned up his report. What a poop! LOL KHM
