credit watching services?

Anyone ever use one of these services? They are supposed to alert you whenever someone does anything on your credit report. Are they worth the money? Or would it be better to just pay to pull my credit every three months until things are cleared up?

I tried doing a search on this (sorry if it is a redunant question, I still have the newbie stamp on my forehead) but the search tool on this board only locks up my internet (I have cable internet so I don't know why this would happen).

I really want to watch things cloesly for the next 2 years or so until my husband and I are in a position to refinance because I want to make sure nothing gets wrongly re-aged since I understand it can be a nightmare to correct.

Yes, most of us here have used these services. They are usually a service provided by one of the 3 CRA's or an independent company.

Privacy Guard, Credit Watch, are two popular ones to use.

You are right to keep watch over your reports, especially when you are doing major efinance!
