For those of you have gotten your "real" experian scores, I'm curious if the creditexpert score or the score simulator was closer to the correct score. In my case it appears as if the simulator is actually closer to the real score.
OK, since the response was overwhelming, let me try this another way. For those who have gotten their real experian score, how close to the real score is/was creditexpert?
I really don't know the answer to your question but I do know that as part of C.H.O.D. I disputed some things through creditexpert and they deleted a judgement off of my report from 2 years ago (unpaid) and my score did not change a bit. I am kind of skeptical of the creditexpert score at this point.
what do you mean by the real experian score? how can i get this? whenever i go to experian to order my credit report, it sends me to creditexpert.com. At credit expert.com it says my score is like 628 on the simulator, it says it should be like 680
I haven't gotten my "real" score just the credit expert score, which went up 10 points today (from 582) but MY simulator says it should be around 640. The only neg's I have on there is 1 60 day late from 1/01 an R5 from 98, and a 60 day late from 2/96. By THEIR book I have 33% available, by mine I have 57% (2 creditors haven't updated yet). I have a question about the 60 day late from 1/01. My car payment is due on the 29th each month. I missed 11/29/00 and 12/29/00, they posted my double payment (for those months) on 1/2/01. Wouldn't that make me 60 days as of 12/00?? I know it's only a month but I'm at my wits end on that one, I just got a report back that says "we've already investigated this item". KHM
LKH, I did have a little experience with this. I got my real experian score first when getting a loan fom my bank, I went the next week and signed up for creditexpert, it was about 5 points lower than my actualy score a week prior. This was the score not simulator. So it was pretty close, not sure if it is the same for everyone, or CE got realy lucky LOL. But I must say when I start using CE, as my score went up I got approved for cards i was previously denied for and also initally got declined for LOC from Amex and about 2 weeks later my score increased on CE about 20 points and I reapplied and got instant approval.
