I just had a chase account with 8K credit limit hit my experian and the score went up 45 points. Is that a normal? I thought the score is supposed to go down when you open new accounts. Experts take it away.
Maybe your UR is dramatically reduced as a result of the 8K CL. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Rina, Your are right. My percentage of credit available went from 70% to 81%. Wow I applied for the card on Monday and I have not even received it yet and it is already reporting? I guess we have something to look forward to in prime land.
Excellent! You're below the magic 20% UR. I'm @ 38% now, but once I pay off my car on New years eve, I'll start blasting the CC balances away.
