Any help on this would be APPPRECIATED! This CA is playing TOUGH. I told them I would make arrangements ONLY if they delete. He told me that if I paid and then disputed that it is their policy NOT to dispute and it would come off the report as slong as the account is paid...that's all that matters to them.

Having said that I guess you can assime I have TALKED with this CA....WELL I just looked on CR and they are saying they cannot locate individual.

Can I do something about this??? That makes it look real bad IF (and I don't plan to for a few years)I planned on applying for something and this comment was on my report. It will fall off in 2 years and I am thinking I should let it fall off!!!

Also it doesn't list an orginal date for the account...I believe it is 1997 so does this mean if I can't see a date it can stay on there til it's paid???? Any advise??

    Thanks!!!

In my opinion if they truly mean what they say then they should have no problem giving you a deletion letter once it's paid. If they refuse I would be very wary. There word isn't worth the paper it's written on.

He said I would get a letter that just said I paid it...nothing about a deletion letter. He said once I pay it I can them dispute and they will not do anything so in 30 days it falls off?? They will not delete when I pay.

I plan on trying to build a house in about 2 years and if I can't get some of these derogs off in the meantime that will be good and most will fall off by then. This is my hubbys CA account..he has 2 not paid and one medical and I have 4 paid collections and 2 medicals

So should I get it in writing if I pay they will not dispute when I dispute??

Whatever you do get something if it's not in writing they are lying. Let them put in writing that they will not verify this account when you dispute it with the cra's once it's paid. I doubt that they will put that in writing though. I would simply ask them to put in writing that they would delete the tradeline entirely once the account is paid in full. Either way get it in writing. If it's not in writing they will screw you.
