Since I sent my second (pretty nasty) planetfeedback letter to Equifax about not being able to use CreditWatch because of too many soft inquiries, I have been able to pull new reports and scores on a "hit and miss" basis. Each time I am successful at accessing the new report and score I get two soft inquiries for the attempt. One says "Equifax customer service" and is followed right away by "Equifax customer service - SP". I suspect that every time I order a new report and score, some human somewhere manually overrides the system and lets me have access. Sometimes I get one right away and sometimes it takes a day or so. If anyone is still having problems with CreditWatch I suggest you don't give up hounding them.
Yeah, their online service has a serious flaw that will eventually catch up with them in terms of cancelled accounts if they don't fix it. The thing they sell creates the problem that keeps the consumer from getting what they purchased. Yikes!!
I think its 50 i have never been able to use credit watch as i tryed to register when i had 51 and always recieved the system is busy message
omg! This is what I've been complaining about for two weeks..Too many soft inquiries to pull report..but, let me share this also, if you can't pull it, neither can a lendor. We lost a HELOC this week when the underwriter could not pull the report with the score because of Techinial problems. I have called every day to CS and Tech support to no avail.. Last report pulled was 4/17...need help, who else do I call?
While I spoke to the investigation dept rep this morning, I also asked her about the proliferation of soft inquiries for online viewing. The day I began the CreditWatch trial 7 soft inquiries were logged. She first said they can't really be disputed as the soft inquiries will fall off anyway. Then she said she'll look into it after I questioned how soon the soft inquiries will be deleted, and brought up the fact that some people can't view their report because the apparent file size restriction. So I guess she lumped all of that into my dispute, and said she'll mail me an updated report once the investigation is over.
Super. told me the same thing last Wednesday and I did receive my report in the mail today. Now remember that my report has not been available to me or to the underwriters since the middle of April..I have had 18 s inquiries made from equifax since then. Still cannt pull today. Sent fax and certified letter this week.
I don't know if that is necessarily true. I can use Equifax's online services, but I can use Privista and ConsumerInfo.com. I haven't applied for credit lately.
