I have 5 inquiries for 1 report!!! On the phone with equifax as we speak to find out why. I'll let you all know why, and if they remove it from my report.

The rep (Rob, very courteous gentleman) told me if you log in multiple times a day, it could generate extra soft inquiries.

If your file gets too big, use the automated line to request a report: 800-685-1111.

Inquiries are a matter of record, and must stary for 2 years.

Me: I authorized 1 inquiry, thus making the other 5 impermissible. Therefore you should remove it.

Her: Let me place you on hold and look into that.

    Me: Ok, you do that.

    HOLDING......Holding......

Her: You'll have to call the web people to find out why there are so many inquiries.

ME: If you can't tell me why I have 5 inquiries for 1 report, then you must delete it.

Her: I can't, we don't dispute web information.

Me: Ok then your supervisor's name, their supervisor's name, email address and direct phone lines.

Her: we don't have access to email.

Me: Fine, send me something in writing that says you refuse to delete inquiries.

    Her: WE don't do that.

Me: Then I'll see you in court, $1000 per inquiry that is impermissible. CLICK

I only logged in once, and got 5 inquiries. I got 6 inquiries on the 25th when I authorized only 1 report.

I'm so angry right now, I could scream.

Ahhh, good 'ol Equisux. I just got off the phone with them as well and asked them why they couldn't get my birthdate right. They said that it was a creditor reporting it. Then I told her that I don't understand why Exp and TU can get my BD right, but Equisux has such problems. Then they told me AGAIN to call all my creditors and verifiy what information they have on me. I told them heck no. I said that I was requesting that THEY investigate every creditor on my account. Needless to say she was flustered. She then said she could investigate one at a time, starting with the ones that have recently reported. Hmmm. Some progress, I guess.
