I cancelled Junum tonight and was going to join Creditwrench after receiving several emails from Bill. It sounds good. Is there anyone here who has personally used this service? I've done my own disputing, Junum didn't get anywhere for me except "frivolous". I don't know what's left for me.

Never used it, never will. I don't believe in paying for something you can do yourself for FREE. I especially have a problem with paying a monthly fee to these types of companies... It's in their best interest to take as long as they can to solve the problems! They make more money that way!

Mail, online and telephone.... do it yourself! It works just the same as paying for it.

I would like to say that I have had a very positive experience with Bill and his Creditwrench. Some of what he offers is unique to what I have seen.

Recently I sent out a validation letter to several collection agencies and ended up with a situation that I did not know how to handle. I contacted Bill. He was more than helpful and quite generous with his time. I asked him for his services. He did not try to sell his program to me.

Shortly after Bill got on my problems, I received a letter from the compliance manager of a large collection agency offering a deletion of the accounts I had with them. I tried to accomplish this myself with no success and much frustration.

Just because one can do much of this on their own does not mean Bill isn't performing an honest service. He is good at what he does and charges a nominal fee for the effort he puts forth for you. I appreciate that.

I am busy, wanted to get these CA's off of my reports and frankly Bill is far better at achieving this than I am. My time is better spent elsewhere. The nominal fee I have paid him has been well worth it.

Some may have issues with Bill, but attacking him for offering an honest service ( with good results I might add ) at a reasonable price as some have done on this board is just not fair.

    Peace, Jeff

I purchased the creditwrench deal, and while I did not take advantage of Bill's consulting time, I can tell you that the letters do not seem to be anything special. My credit is clearing up on its own and with Junum's help as well. Bill's program may be good, but I think it is something that you can do yourself as well.

Also, responding to your previous posts, I honestly think you should consider hiring an attorney, or seeking some sort of free or reduced legal aid. Legal aid exists in most cities and perhaps it could help with your situation. Contact a local law school in your area and see if they offer any sort of mediation or referral service.

I did Lex- waste of time and money, did almost nothing.

My DIY has done quite well, but I have recently 'retained' Bill and his credit-wrench. I see it as a DIY 'plus'.

NO pro's or con's yet, we'll have to see.

FWIW, he seems like a nice guy, and he answers emails quick.

    MT:

While I deeply appreciate the kind words of those who support me and what I do, You too are absolutely correct when you say anybody can learn to do it themselves. I did, and if I can do it, then so can anybody else. And that's the truth.

    Then you say:
Well, since I haven't bothered to look you up to see who you are, I can't tell how many of the letters you have seen, but I know for a fact that you have not seen anywhere near all of them. No single customer has ever seen all of them, nor is it very likely they ever will.

That's simply because I send them out on an as needed basis. Different situations require different approaches, different tactics.

In some cases, I use letters that make me look very, very stupid. You have seen me post some of the hilarious letters that banks have received. One of them was considered so funny that the bank actually sent the letter to the Wall Street Journal for publication and it was published. The whole nation laughed at it, I suppose. I'm glad they enjoyed it.

And while the bank was laughing so hard, they sent the account to a collection agency. Guess what that did. It lost them their protection FROM FDCPA. And then they could be dealt with easily whereas before they started laughing so hard they were impossible to deal with. As Reader's Digest points out every month, Laughter is sometimes the best medicine. Once I got them to laughing, they did something stupid. Then it was my turn to laugh.

Sometimes I send them letters that makes them mad. And then they get stupid and do things they should know better than to do, or don't do things the law says they must do. Once I get them mad enough, they think they are going to teach me a lesson, give me a different point of view. That's nice. I love them kinds of teachers.

The madder they get or the harder they laugh, the easier it is to do a nice clean hatchet job on them.

I just love it when they think they are dealing with a fool.

I just called up Attention LLC tonite, last thing before they closed up. When they answered the phone, I said "Sorry, wrong number" and hung up. Then they called me back, using the info from caller I.D. on their end. I acted like I was really confused and couldn't understand how they could get me called back so fast. I told them I had been trying to contact them and couldn't ever get the right phone number for them and now that I did, they had the best of me and that I would have to call them back tomorrow, which I will do, but they are gonna wish they hadn't ever made the mistake of calling me back or even talking to me on the phone. Right now, they think I must be some kind of big dummy and that's exactly what I want them to think.

And yes, anybody else can learn to do these things too. It's no big deal, really.
All you gotta do is do your homework and burn lots and lots of midnite oil.

    judgement forms

    PsychDoc:

As you will recall, we were discussing the $11.95 small claims court kit put out by Nolo on their website and I was very disparaging of it.

I have now put up my own small claims court kit and since I had you look over the Nolo kit which sells on the net for $11.95 and which I have a copy posted, I would like to have you look at my small claims court kit and see if you think it is better or not and make comment as to which you think is better of the two and why.

While I am not willing to put Nolo's $11.95 kit out for public display for obvious reasons, I am putting my kit out for public display and usage and all may feel free to view, use, abuse or whatever to their heart's content. I do not wish it to be said that I am not willing to help others on this forum and am only interested in selling what I can. That claim is now rendered quite obviously false and untrue and I will also be putting up a lot more good stuff as time goes on.

    Please check it out at
SMALL CLAIMS COURT LEGAL ANSWERS KIT

Since mine is 26 pages long, I could hardly just paste it up here on this forum, so I have no other choice than to let it reside on my website.

Let us know what you think about the two.

I have used Creditwrench with great success. It is well worth the cost. I can assure you it is better than trying to do it yourself with no guidance. It does require work and organization on your part, however. I definitely would go with his program again if had to. No regrets.

CreditWrench is not "MAGIC". It is a way of thinking about how you will challenge your current situation. Not every situation is the same. There are all kinds of scenarios that occur when someone is trying to get into credit shape. For instance, some of us are actually lucky enough to send in letters to the credit bureaus that ask for verification. We get deletions with little or no effort (this is rare of course). Some of us use third parties that do the work for you. They usually consist of a bombardment of disputes worded in such a way as to make the CRA believe that they must just follow the law and verify. I say "GOOD FOR THEM" and their technique. But a lot of us will run into situations that will require a lot more strategy. We will need the advice of someone who has obviously been in many different situations. Situations that deal with the creditors and collectors themselves. Some of these may require just a simple way of approaching a creditor/collector, while others require a more sophisticated approach. There is very little blanket advice given by BBAUER, when it comes to those who must take these guys on full force. I am not trying to sell anyone on CREDITWRENCH, but I will say that it saved me time and attorney fees. I had accomplished a lot on my own, using my own creativity. My savvy only went so far and I needed that educated objectivity to get me through. You can do it on your own. You can also represent yourself in a court of law. I like to surround myself with people who have specialized knowledge. It make me look a whole lot smarter...

I was going to get it, but first I want to see how far I get on my own. I've been very successful in achieving numerous deletions using the same approach as everyone else here. I figure when I can go no further on my own efforts, I will contact Bill B.

Bkev, you said something earlier in this thread that bothered me a bit, so I thought I'd address it directly:

For the record, Bill Bauer solved the problem I brought to him (mentioned in my posting above) in ONE month. Bill and I spoke on the phone several times, traded a bunch of email, crafted a letter that targeted my problem, and -- as Emeril would say on the Food Network, LOL -- BAM! I really don't think it's fair that you would insinuate that he takes as long as he can to assist in order to milk consultees out of a monthly fee; clearly you don't know Bill Bauer, and you haven't interacted with him. Ok, LOL, I've said my peace on that score. :)

Understood. And as I say, I will fight for your right to have your opinion. I would consider yourself twice lucky... I'm glad your problem was removed from your report.

Personally, I take a very strict stand. I'm like the television judges.... Once I catch a person in a lie, nothing they say has creditability with me any longer. I think the pay by month/deletion programs pray on people who are new to the process. Their bait-and-switch guarantees make it seem more difficult for a person un/undereducated consumer than it really is. Where are their success stories from people who have tried for a year without success or had a dozen negative investigations before going with a pay service?

My opinion is that Bill develops a sour impression with many people because of his attitude about credit repair. While it would seem to be effective when directed towards some collection agencies and creditors, I don't think it's needed when talking with someone who is just starting their own repair... many people find it to be a intimidation factor on par with the collection agencies.... and no need for more of those!
