Now as am fairly inexperienced person when it comes to actual credit repair I am looking for yet more info. When you have a number of old addresses deleted from your file and then go to dispute trades. what criterea does the CRA HAVE to have to consider it verified? just a name and SSN suffice? I have heard those here who had moved to a new home and had their old addresses which were the last known addresses that the creditor billed you under removed from the credit file. If the CRA can't match up the address I am to presume it is still basically a dice roll if or not the CRA rep deems non matching addresses to warrant deletion? Or do they have any technical obligation to match all primary critera? It would seem if the deletion of old addresses worked, it would have people moving left and right and having their old addresses deleted from the cr. Overall am I correct to assume that if the creditors address on file doesnt match any known address on the CR the item may still remain as ultimately the CRA can be arbitrary about removals stemming from this lack of matching data?? thanks
Well---I recently received a letter from FNANB about a not mine dispute I sent thru the CRA. The letter said my name and SS# matched, so it remained.
