The following is a dispute letter I have drafted to experian. I am disputing several hard inquiries and a collection. I recently paid the collection for a deletion. However, the TL still remains and the CA pulled a hard inq. on my TU report AFTER being paid and AFTER the date of the deletion letter. You can see the other errors described in the letter. I'm thinking that if Experian verifies again, I will have several other violations. Please critique the letter and offer any and all suggestions. p.s. I have no tradelines with the companies who requested my credit. Dear Sir/Madame: This letter is a formal complaint that you are reporting inaccurate and incomplete credit information. I am distressed that you have included the below information in my credit profile and have failed to maintain reasonable procedures in your operations to assure maximum possible accuracy in the credit reports you publish. You are required to report only 100% accurate credit information. Every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct. The following information therefore needs to be re-investigated. I respectfully request to be provided proof that these inquiries were in fact authorized with an instrument bearing my signature, and for legitimate business purposes. Failing that, the unauthorized inquiries must be deleted from the report as soon as possible: QWEST (Telephone Vendors, MCI, etc.) 12/10/03 CREDCO (Mortgage Reporters) 10/02/03 ORC SERVICES (Mortgage Reporters) 08/15/03 INFORMATION SEARCHING (Credit Report Brokers) 08/13/03 CREDCO (Mortgage Reporters) 08/13/03 MURIEL SIEBERT & CO (Investment Firms) The listed inquiries were without my authorization, and had no legitimate business purposes. As such, I feel this is a very serious error in reporting. Please delete this misleading information, and supply a corrected credit profile to all creditors who have received a copy within the last 6 months. Please investigate the following item as well. M LEONARD & ASSOCIATES Acct:#xxxxxxxx4938 This account is not mine. Additionally, the information reported is patently contradictory. The account shows an open date of 11/03 yet shows on your report as a collection on 03/01. If it was opened in 2003 then how could it be a collection in 2001. And, if it was a collection in 2001, then how could the account have been opened in 2003. Therefore, you failed to properly verify this account as requested in my previous online dispute. Further mishandling of my credit file WILL result in legal action. Please provide the name, address, and telephone number of each credit grantor or other subscriber. You have thirty (30) days to complete your re-investigation. Be advised that the description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information is hereby requested as well, and must be provided within 15 days of the completion of your re-investigation. Sincerely, «Signature» «Your Name»
