I posted this a couple of days ago but no one responded. Hasn't anyone been successful in having Cross Country removed? To date I have sent a validation letter to CC and disputed with all three CRA's. No response from CC and all three CRA's verified. EX at one time had the account listed twice...one was deleted, but it was the one that had the correct date of last activity. The remaining had been reaged by two years. I disputed with EX on the reaging but nothing so far. I know what to do next, but wanted to know how other's took care of them. Any input of someone else's success story would be useful. Thanks! L
Well, I just sent them a validation letter requesting the signed application and all statements during the time the account was open. Worst case scenario, they provide that information and I get can Experian to correct where they re-aged the account by two years. It falls off early next year from TU and EQ regardless and hopefully off EX as well (*if* I can get the correct date on EX, that is). Farmermg had some dealings with them and I was trying to email him/her to see if they had any type of resolution. Maybe if Farmermg sees this you could post? Thanks! L
I would be very interested in hearing any methods people have used in dealing with ccb. I made the mistake of applying for a using one of their cards. Things were going fine, I was making my payments, had received their silver preferred card and then all of a sudden I'm on their sh** list. Payments suddenly lost or late, all kinds of fees added on, constant phone calls at work and home. With their practices and tatics I do not know how this company stays in business. I understand that they have several class action lawsuits pending against them and thousands of complaints with the FTC. Not sure it's making a difference though as they seem to be growing.
