Cross Country Bank Credit Balance??

    I have a CCB credit card. I know I'm an ass. Well I use the card because it's one of the few that will let online gaming transactions go thru.

    Recently I did a balance transfer from Amex for 2800. In the meantime Ecash services did a credit to this card for 3600. I did'nt think they would credit the card, but they did. Now, I have a credit balance of 2800 on this card. When I called CCB they acted like I did something wrong and told me to fax a letter to the security dept. to request a refund of my credit balance.

    I called today and was told they did'nt receive the fax and to fax it again. Also, that it could take up to 3 weeks to get my money back. I just want my money back and I'm going to close this account.

    I don't trust these crooks. They always do an ET when I send them a check even though I have never paid them late. Heck, they don't even have an 800 number.

    How concerned should I be about getting my refund? And does any one have a good contact person or phone number there?

    I would try the FDIC. They have a website with an online complain form. They have helped concerning complaints with CCB. The website is

    Send the a letter with your signature crrr specifically requesting the refund. They have to respond to your request within a specific amount of time b/c it is a credit balance refund you are requesting. I think the specific time frames can be found somewhere in regulation z.

    FAX TO SECURITY DEPARTMENT???

    ARE THEY CLUELESS???

    I do "OVER-PAYMENT" BT'S all the time and NEVER have trouble getting a refund...

    JUST CALL ONE MORE TIME, ASK FOR YOUR MONEY BACK, IF THEY WON'T GIVE IT TO YOU, YOU WILL HAVE TO CONTACT THE PROPER AUTHORITIES...

    Maybe they are afraid that the payments will BOUNCE...then give you a refund...they they are out DOUBLE MONEY...if they wait 2 weeks...before they mail you a check, that can't happen!!!

    ALSO, the security department is the WRONG department...I THINK THEY ARE TRYING TO SCARE YOU!!!!
