Thanks to the people on this site I have been able to restore my credit in full. I am now trying to do the same with my wife's, her credit really isn't all that bad but she went out a few years ago and got a cross country visa. I won't really go into all the details here now, but this company is worse than a loan shark. I think I have backed them off for now, but I would really like to get as much info about this company as I can. If Anyone here has had dealings with this bank, please post your experiance. Also any critical websites that you know of for CCB would be helpful, (I have jerrydj's site but it looks like CCB is shutting him down.) PS: I have been real busy these days and don't have as much time as I used too to check in with this site, I hope everyone is doing well and I want to thank everyone for the help they have given in the past. This site really made a huge difference in my life at a very critical time. THANKS!!
From what I've read they're one to stay away from. Not sure if you've read anything from this website yet, but here it is if you haven't: http://www.epinions.com/finc-Credit...ss_Country_Bank/display_~reviews/listype_~opb
Mindcrime, Thanks, I will check the site. The reason I bumped this is that I called them today to find out what some mysterious charges are for on her card, the customer "service" rep. refused to give any info and literally cussed me out. This company is worse than any CA I have dealt with. The people who work there are complete idiots. Susitna
Susitna, Your experience with them (tonight) mirrors what just about every person on the epinions site has to say about cross country bank. Some things they complain about: *No toll free customer service number *CSR's are useless *Add insurance onto card w/o cardholders permission *Won't refund o/l fees even when it's their fault *Won't allow you to speak with a supervisor *Takes an act of congress to get them to change your address (if you move) Who knows what else. I suggest you run, not walk away from these clowns.
The JerryDJ.com website is back up. There are some very interesting posts there. I am SOOOOO glad they rejected me several years ago.
A friend of mine started out his credit card life with this card. Four months later he paid the card off in one lump sum for about $700 on a $500 line. He overpaid because the computers in Florida and New Jersey did not agree as to the balance on the account. He eventually got a refund check for about $50 but it took several weeks of calling and letter writing. That was 3 years ago and to this day he refuses to even consider applying for a credit card and he has no credit cards. Cross country bank is the worst credit card company in the US, bar none. It amazes me they are still in business. If I had an account with Cross Country bank I would run, not walk, to the post office and pay these crooks off and get them out of my life. http://planetfeedback.com/sharedLettersList/0,2941,105926-11-0-0-20-0-fb_date-desc,00.html http://www.jerrydj.com/CCB http://www.trenton.bbb.org/nis/newsearch2.asp?ID=1&ComID=0221000080010842 http://www.consumeraffairs.com/credit_cards/cross_country_bank.htm http://www.consumeraffairs.com/abroad/credit_card_problems.htm http://www.board.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=1&postid=83244#post83244
