Now what? I sent a validation request to CA that was reporting on my cr. I had previously disputed this and now it is back, so I sent the validation request. I used the address supplied by the CRA as I did not have an address for them (never heard of them). What should I do now? Should I send a copy of the envelope marked "Attempted Unknown" to the CRA as evidence that these people are reporting something incorrect.

Send the copies of the evidence with a letter to the CRA~~~once you get the green card back with the date...count 30 days...

First of all you said you disputed this debt before and it came off but was re-inserted. Sounds like a second CA got the account and reported it again. Is this correct?

Secondly, just because the address given by the CRA was returned undeliverable doesn't mean they didn't verify. Often they verify by telephone. Call the CRA and see if they have a telephone number for this ca before you proceed. If they do, call them and find out what address to use. If the CRA has neither an address nor a phone number then they did not actually verify. The fact that your verification was returned could have been a postal carrier error too. If you do the above it may take a month to find all this out but if you call tomorrow you'll know more than you do now.

    Keep us posted.
