On my CSC Credit Services (Equifax affiliate) report, there are 2 columns of inquiries. The ones on the right column appear to be soft inquiries and the ones on the left hard inquiries. Does anyone know if this is true? I called CSC and talked to 2 different people. 1. They are completly unfamiliar with their reports, and 2. They don't know what the difference between the two types of inquiries are ie" I don't know sir, they just show up as inquiries on my screen."
Wow, these people cannot catch a clue for the life of them, can they? I've never dealt with them, but I would call back and ask to speak to someone who might KNOW what inquiry is which. It sounds like you are having a lot of problems with this company. I'd start complaining.
Problems are all I have with them. The big plus is I have it all on tape. Since I'm in Texas and they are as well (1 party state). I usually don't disclose that I'm taping them. Today however I decided to... Her: Sir you do not have my permission to tape me Me: Well we're both in Texas, right? Her: Sir I know where we're located Me: Well good. Then you should know that I do not need your permission.
On CSC the soft and hard inquiries are comingled. The softs are preceded by PRM, AR, ACIS, etc. Your report should have included a "how to read your credit report sample" which provides the definitions of which inquiries are considered soft.
