I'm about to really lose it with Equifax/CSC and I desperately need some advice how to end this problem once and for all!!

I have a Lowe's account (joint with hubby) that was over the limit and I BT'd most of the balance to a new card to get the balance down. Well, it had a 30 day late showing from 8/02. I can live with that. The problem is it was showing "currently 30-60 days past due" and $16 past due - they weren't updating to the new balance either. Between April and August of 2003 they would not update it. (I paid the bal. down in July 03).

Anyway - due to my fighting/disputing and sending threating letters as well as copies of my statement reflecting my correct balance, they FINALLY got the balance correct. They took off the $16 showing past due but they did not change the rating or take off the "currently 30-60 days past due" comment. It's rated a "3" which is "not more than 90 days past due". This is SOOO much BULL!!!! I was late in 8/02 but have not been late since and that was 30 days but not 60.

Well - I checked it today and this is what it says -

    HIGH CREDIT $1,184 (ok)
    MIN. MONTHLY PAYMENT -0- (hello?)
    DOLA AUG. 2003 (ok)
BALANCE $553 (they finally got that right)
CURRENT STATUS 60 DAYS PAST DUE (what the???)
PAST DUE AMOUNT -0- (ok - I'm 60 days past due for $0). This makes NO sense!
    SEVEN YEAR HISTORY
    30 DAYS LATE: 1 60 DAYS LATE: 0 90+ LATE 0

Any suggestions how to get this straighted out?? Every time I try to address they show it disputed again and screw it up even further! The fact that it's reporting as 60 days late is killing me way more than the high balance ever was. Every time I apply for credit it says "recent late payment or delinquencies" as the denial reason. I'm sure this is why. This is the only really bad thing left on my EQ report. I've been working on getting it cleaned up for almost a year and I"m finally almost there. The worst part is that this isn't even accurate and I have never been 60 days late on this account.

    thanks for any suggestions!!
