Hi creditnetters, upon returning to the U.S. after yrs abroad, I discovered that csc/equifax-Houston had recently deleted all of my old positive inactive tradelines in my file basically nuking up to 20 yrs of credit history and leaving me with 3 new accts-2 yrs of history? in the past I had disputed lots of erroneous info off of my file and just when everything appeared accurate, they screwed me! I have attempted to contact them over the phone and the person said they could not see any of the deleted positive accounts but they could see the deleted erroneous accts from the past? they also mentioned that many creditors only report old accounts for x amount of time and they might have all stopped reporting at the exact same time?YEAH RIGHT! they are still reporting on the other bureaus, and in the end I was told that a memo was attached to my file and a supervisor would be contacting me to fix this problem? still waiting! GRRR My questions are: Does anybody have a name of a decent individual at Equifax/CSC that I could contact? or any type of letter/procedure that I could follow? any advice/mass deletion experiences that anybody can offer me are greatly appreciated. ...thanks
Re: Re: CSC/Equifax mass deletion of tls? yep, I've had the same problem CSC/EQ... at first I thought I'd only lost a couple of old cc and one finance tradelines , but upon reviewing my reports for the last 6 months I realized they had also deleted 4 old paid student loan tradelines. This really, really hurt my credit history... my major FICO score issue now is credit history too short. I called CSC to ask about it... rep looked at my report and told me she couldn't see the tradelines I was talking about... I said, yes well thats because they have been deleted... she says, we don't delete tradelines, they are deleted by the reporting creditor. I find it hard to believe that 4 separate creditors have requested deletion of old tradelines in the last 6 months... maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
