Has anyone done an online dispute with CSC, Equifax's TX affiliate for disputes? I called their 800 number to see if they still accept fax disputes since it had been such a long time since I have done one, and while I was on hold, I got the recording that I could do disputes online using this website:https://www.csccredit.com/cac/disputes.nsf/CACDispF?OpenFrameSet.
Has anybody done this before? Should I just go ahead and fax it anyway? Thanks

I don't like it...you get absolutely -0- confirmation. No date, no nothing.

    Try that one.

Here's a little CreditNet secret Chelsys.

For some reason we all have a tendency to put a little period at the end of our links.

BE ADVISED: THIS SCREWS UP YOUR HYPERLINK.

And is very hard to find.

    I checked out the form.

Jodi is right. Besides, I'm a BIG fan of using CRRR for all disputes. If you want to fax it in first or dispute online and THEN follow up with CRRR, that's fine. But you need the paper trail.

Also, look what I found at the bottom of the form:

I certify that all information expressed above is both true and factual under penalty of law.*

*In some states, it is illegal to make any false statement to a consumer reporting agency for the purpose of having it placed on a consumer report.

    Now isn't that interesting?

    :)~

All I have ever done has been online disputes and faxes. I have not had any trouble getting things removed. I did a return receipt letter once when I first started, and never got the green card back. I have never used on line with CSC because as far as I knew we could not. I think I will just continue with what I have been doing, was jsut curious if anyone had done it. As far as the link, I just copied and pasted it, I did not add the period.

just fyi, I used this form and got absolutely no confirmation, about 1 week later my equifax report showed the item to be in dispute..and for the first time, my score actually went up because the item was in dispute.

Too bad they verified the TL 2 days later...stupid fscking TXU Electric. They are in bed with EQ I swear.

I used the form on my last disputes and it workedfine, all four deleted. No confirmation but the were actually marked in dispute on CR about two weeks after submitting it, unlike the TU or EX.. I got a letter 30 days after dispute letting me know they were all deleted.

I submitted a dispute a couple weeks ago through CSC. Just today, I get a letter saying that my "correspondence has been forwarded to the office which researches the credit file concerns of consumers living in your area." And then it gives me the Equifax address in Atlanta to contact if I have any additional questions.

Doesn't look like it did me much good. Plus, I don't have any paper trail. I seriously doubt they will use the original date I submitted it to base the 30 days on.
