CU charged for documents to validat

    Hi. I am verbally arguing with my Credit Union over late payments. Last Oct. I told them they would have to give me some proof of these lates and dates etc.
    They were really pis*y about it and charged me $11.00 to investigate as well as give me written proof. I still have the receipt for payment. If I have read some other posts here correctly, they broke the law by doing this. Am I correct? It would be great to have extra bartering power with them.

    I think they did violate the FCRA. I recall seeing something about this in there. Don't have time to look it up right now but there are links to it all over this site.
