   Does anyone know of a resource that details the car repossession steps that the lender must take? (BTW I am in Texas)

   Good question...I'm researching the same for New Mexico.
   
   It looks like http://www.lawdog.com/states/tx/repo.htm might be a good place to check. It has links to the the actual statutes that it refers to.
