After pulling report and score daily for some time, I have 134 now .... still the only bumpage I get is when I stumble around the house in the dark.

I am quite sick and tired of pulling my Eq report daily and score and seeing no changes...I think I am done with the daily drudgery.

Also in the last 3 months I have had 3 inquiries drop off of the EQ FICO scoring page (because after 1 year they do not count and hence are not shown). However I have seen NO score change whatsoever...still 727 everyday...although one day it was 728. I have a fourth (and last) that is due to be 1 year old in November. Who knows what will happen to my score with 0 inquiries...but obviously my other credit factors are a much bigger influence than my inquiries are on my score...maybe I should apply apply apply :)))

Yes, all inquiries help with bumpage. On my report the only inqs getting deleted are my hards and Equifax consumer services.

Nave, I'm just curious, how big is your credit file? I mean how many positive and negative accounts do you have. From some of the earlier discussions this month, I've noticed that for those of us around 12-16 positive accounts, and 1 or 2 negs, that bumpage starts around 110-115 inquiries. Because of EQ's file size constraints, I would guess that your actual accounts size is less than 10. If I'm wrong then my theory is blown out of the water. However, I'm sure the age of each account (length) impacts things as well.

christi, Do you mean that all of the "Equifax Consumer Services" inquiries made each day (2) from us pulling our own report get deleted? Bummer, that means I have to delete about 30 of those babies before I get to any hards.

Also, I've noticed that "CSC Consumer Reinvest" for those of us who use CSC also get deleted.

Logging in now to get an accurate count:

    1 previous address
    No employment history on file.
No Public Record Information on file.
    No bankruptcies on file
    No liens on file
    No judgements on file
    No garnishments on file
    No secured loans on file
    No marital statuses on file
    No financial counseling on file
    No foreclosures on file
    No non-responsibility entries on file
    No collections on file.

9 current positive accounts. 2 closed positive accounts.

    133 soft inquiries
    1 hard inquiry

So let me see if I understand you correctly...because I am lacking in total report "length" I need to amass way more inquiries?

What are your estimations of how many more days I should amass these inquiries (not to put you on the spot) :)

    cma,

Mine have been getting deleted from the bottom up. So, as of today, I have had 6 hards deleted. I have to wait about six more days to get to the next hard because of all the EQ consumer services in between. I am not complaining, It's definitely better than waiting 2 years!

I'm thinking that the reason bumpage happens is because Equifax only has a specific size alotted to each consumer, and the least relative information gets bumped off if the file exceeds the size alottment. EQ's remedy to this seems to be to split files, which creates a nightmare for those individuals. This way they can still "merge" the files to review and manage on thier end, but we wouldn't be able to view the files online because they would actually be split on thier relational database. So alternately, if your file has not reached this size constraint, then it will continue to save all information. I have a total of 12 good accounts with about half more than 8 years old and the other half relatively new. I have no other account information or content other than the inquiries which have stayed at 112 with bumpage every time I pull a report. I would guess that you should see bumpage very soon.
But then again, what do I know?

Christi, do you lose two Consumer Services inquiry everytime you pull a report? Have you lost any PRM inquiries?

Yes, I lose two inqs per pull. Only the hard inqs and EQ consumer services are being deleted. Here is what is being skipped over: AR, PRM, Equifax Auto MTNC Updates, ID-Equifax Consumer Services, Inc, and Equifax Disclosures.

Thanks Mike, I will continue for a bit more and see what happens...though there is a VERY risky line to be drawn between big enough for bumpage and big enough for splittage LOL. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone :))

    Thanks again for the answer.

    Nave,

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you only have one hard inquiry, it is probably not affecting your score.

Thanks Christi, I don't get any Equifax Auto MTNC updates. I wonder why? Maybe because I'm with CSC?

    Thanks again

Nave, I probably didn't say this above, but from what I've read here splittage seems to only happen when you have a lot of accounts and history, not a lot of inquiries. You probably want as many inquiries as possible so it will push the old ones off. I think splittage happens when some of us credit happy junkies can't stop applying for new credit when our score jumps up (like me, I applied for 5 cc in the same week, so I'm looking for more bumpage)

    Keep pullin'

Yea I know...same score since I had 4. Trouble is, I started this whole bumpage thing when i HAD 4 inquiries that were less than 12 months old...now that I am down to one, my score remains the same...And NOW I CAN NOT STOP PULLING MY REPORT !!! :) Arrrrrgh! Guess I am just CRA-OCD (maybe I should consult Psychdoc)

Actually now that I re-read my post, I mis-posted some information...I have 130 soft and 4 hard inquiries... but only 1 hard inquiry shows up in the FICO scoring pages because the rest are older than 1 year.

    Anyway...

    Thanks Christi.

PS Thanks also for the addendum post on inquiries and splittage Mike.

    I have a 176 inquiries total
    plus about 25 accounts...

My inquiries steadily go up and every now and then a hard falls off..

I think I have lost about 10 hards and I have 1 left...

LOL. I definitely can relate!! I have become so credit obsessed lately. Even on days that I am very tired, I will stay up to pull my EQ report so I can get that bumpage!! I hate how EQ will only let you pull once every 24 hrs so I have to wait until 10:30pm to pull. Should I consult a Dr.??

I agree! I actually try to schedule my day around it. LOL I try to do it in the morning, but each day it gets later and later. I'm up to 1:15 pm. I have 12 more days until my last hard falls off, and then I guess it doesn't really matter anymore!
