This is a real insurance policy against identity theft. Apparently Equifax purchased the insurance for creditwatch members. Download your certificate, and read the provisions and "duties" - duties are the rules you have to go by for the insurance to pay. It's issued by an AIG company. It's real. Nice move, hehe.
I just saw it. It is so long, my eyes started to bleed ;-) Coincidentally, my car insurance is through AIG Specialty Auto LOL.
LOL, I know!! Insurance policies are like that. But basically, the sections that say what it covers and what your duties are is what you need to know. Mainly, that you have to file the claim within 6 months of your initial discovery that your identity has been stolen.
