I disputed a termination fee from Msoft, with their CA D&B RMS and this CA walked into $2000 in FDCPA violations. Hadn't heard from them in about 45 days, but then I rcvd a letter worded in such a way as if it was from Msoft but also sounds to worded from the CA as well. They are directing any payment to Msoft but to call the CA w/any questions. The letter has a return address from the CA, and Msoft's name on it to the right of that. There is not any amount listed on the letter. They are trying to collect on a non-exsisting debt because I cxl this, but they say I didn't. We all know the story of he said/she said :(

To date, this has not shown up on any CR. I am fighting that hard. I am contemplating just leaving it hang but fear they will put on my CR's. Should I continue to send letters back to them or jsut let it go? Suggestions??

    Hi Trent,

What happened to your situation? I have disputed this debt when Msoft was originally calling me via phone in the summer; I called them and spoke to about 6 people, and got nowhere. I was basically called a liar. Then I found this board (WHOOHOOOO!) and I sent them a limited C & D letter, explaining how this was cxld per them. No dice. Then I get this letter from D&B. I sent D&B RMS a rqst for validation letter 1st, after this alledged debt went to them and I rcvd the "unless we hear from u in 30 days crap" letter. They then sent a follow up, requesting payment--1st Violation. I then sent them an ITS letter requesting they reduce the balance to $0 pointing out the violation. Now this letter, and it's wording is all f'd up. How clever! Did you have a similar situation? I don't quite know how to handle this yet!
