I paid off my Chrysler back in 2000. It still shows on my credit report as owing a balance of 4,233 as of 1-1997. Status: Petition for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy/Current, was pas due 30 days. Account history: 30 days as of 12-1996 File Chapter 13 Bankruptcy 02/24/1997 to 07/02/1999 This account is scheduled to continue on record until 1-2004. This item was verified on 6-2001 and remained unchanged. I have an idea on what I should do, but I don't know if I should go after the Chrysler or the CRA for saying that they verified it when it should NOT show a balance if they did verify it. Here is my other problem, I don't have the original letter from Chrysler that says that if I pay them off, they will delete the listing, (I have moved 3 times since then due to job relocations and layoffs) but I do have the letter saying that the balance has been paid in full and that the lien has been satisfied. The account ONLY shows on my Experian report. The only problem is, I want to remove all trace of my bankruptcy even having been filed and the 30 day late. I don't want them to just correct this. Can anyone help?
also, isn't the account scheduled to be removed on 12/1993? That was my first delinquency. Who should I contact first regarding this?
<bump> This board should have something along the lines of different forums for lets say... Original Creditor Problems Collection Agency Problems CRA Problems etc...etc... I guess it is a good thing that it moves so fast, but geez, I wish I could get some help.............
would it be possible to contact the lender and plead your case (it was supposed to be deleted upon full payment) or try requesting a procedural description from the CRA and see what happens....
