    Hi all,

I just received notice from equifax that the collection and chargeoff on my account was deleted. To say I am thrilled is an understatment however this is where I have a concern. I just received a letter from NCO regarding the unpaid chargeoff. The account was listed as a chargeoff on my report through the original creditor. How (and should I) respond to NCO? I have until the end of the month to respond to them. My biggest concern is for this chargeoff to be reinserted. All answers would be appreciated.

one more thing, this item was chargeoff last year and the amount is under $500. so i am sure i have some SOL issues to deal with as well.

The accounts that are deleted can always be added back on your credit report - so don't think its gone away forever just because its deleted now.

Most people advise to deal with the original creditor only. If you're able to then maybe you can try that. Watch out for the fees they add too - it can be ridiculously high.
