I was wondering if anyone here would have some advice in regards to dealing with Chevron USA. My father had an account with Chevron USA since 1986. He passed away 2 years ago and the account remained open. The account is now charged off and has been linked to my mother. My mother was separated from my father before the account was opened and she has never had a Chevron card in her name. Chevron claims there was a card opened in her name. I requested that they send us a copy of the original application and they just sent my mother a letter stating that the original application is no longer available. The letter goes on to request that we send then a copy of the decree so they â??may further investigate for possible deletion of the accountâ? from my mothers credit reports. Any advice would be great as I plan to contact them on Monday.
