First I want to say thank you to all of the posters.
Second I want to say that I HAVE read as many primers on the topic as I could find including the FAQ and many posts regarding the matter. Sometimes it is difficult to zero in on an answer without specifically asking a question so that is why I'm asking.
First a little about us. We were sole prop. in a business that went kaput after 9/11 occured. We filed a no asset BK in March 05 and were discharged on June 20th 2005
We had EXCELLENT credit (numbers near 800) prior to BK but per my sig. you can see that they took a hit.
As my name implies-we are frugal... VERY frugal, our only debt is a consolidated S.L. I DON'T use credit, we pay everything in cash, have a savings account ONLY and sentence splice like a madman but I would like to own our first home sometime before we are 40 (35 now) and thus the FICO score matters to us.
That brings us to the question(s).
I paid for and recieved our credit reports from MYFICO.com and realized that while the BK is listed as discharged (that was fast as far as the CR is concerned) there are many mistakes and balances shown that should be zeroed (and were) by the BK. There is also some nasty re-aging going on prior to the BK.
What would be my FIRST method of attack for getting rid of the stuff that shouldn't be there?????
Thank You for the help- I promise it won't be wasted, and I'll try not to sentence splice so much in the future LOL

attack everything the same way as if you hadn't filed bk. don't forget to opt out.

dispute as not mine, never late, not IIB...however, NEVER, EVER admit to the Bk or send the bk papers to the CRAs!
