My computer/modem has been down for nearly a month, & I have been so lost w/o this board. I really need to get back on track. Any help will be appreciated. 1. can a company charge off an entire amount of a loan, if payments were made? Shouldn't they only be able to charge off what was owed assuming anything was owed? 2. can someone direct me to a resource instructing me in my rights regarding the ORIGINAL creditor. 3. does anyone have a suggestion in getting BofA to respond to your letters. I wrote to the address listed on the tradeline located in Dallas. Just wondering if there was a better address to get in touch w/someone that would actually do something. This is for an auto loan, that they first claimed was charged off (they charged off the entire amount of the loan.) It also had 2 late payments. I disputed & it came back PAID charged off with the amount charged off still the same entire amount of the loan. Late payments still there. I don't care about the late payments, my arguement is that this should never had been charged off, b/c the loan was repaid b/4 they charged it off. I sent a letter to BoA with the final check made to them hoping that they would see the error. (I can't send all the checks b/c dh paid half the loan by cash) I don't want to let them know that I can't provide proof of every payment. They never responded to me. I now want to send something stating their responsibility to report accurate info. Any advice? TIA. pumpkin
