I paid some old debt, do you think If I dispute them they may remove them from my report?

In reality you have a far better chance of removing paid accounts as opposed to unpaid accounts. The rationale is that there is no real incentive to verify a paid debt. Dipsute the dates of status and balance history through the credit reporting agencies.

    Welcome Back Apex!
I agree... with Apex- disputing paid accounts has worked well for me. I have had 5 paid TL removed in 2 months. Start with the older accounts first.
    Good Luck,

If you paid prior to collection you could dispute as such. More than likely if you dispute any other reason to the CA they will just verify it and show paid.

Until you try, you will never know. Review the tradelines in detail, look for any errors or misreporting, and dispute with all three CRAs.

    MSBigBones,

What letters did you start with? What did you follow up with?

I have five paid collections I want to kill off.

    Thanks.

    JimG,
I started looking over some of the older TL first. I found a few errors then disputed the TL with the CRA. All TL were off in about 30 days after 1st dispute. Even the ones that should still be on my CR are gone!

Note: I only had to dispute with EQ. TL were not on TU or EX.

    Good Luck,
    MBB
