I've been trying to get a debt consoildation loan for a few bills I've been trying to pay off now for a few years (roughly 8000.00). Everytime I try to get one, I get turned down because I have to much outstanding on my cards. I've cut the cards up so they won't be used again. Also, I don't own a home. Is there anyplace online that maybe able to help me? Anyone else have any experiences that can lead me in the right direction? Thanks alot!!
It may be difficult to do, but the best thing to do seems to be to pay off some of the smaller cards first to improve your dept ratio, then see if you can get an increase on them in three months. At this time you should be able to be approved for a consolidation loan and if not repeat the process with another card until your dept ratio really improves. kev
