http://www.zerodebts.com/ http://www.nobk.com/ http://eliminatecreditcarddebt.cc/help/ do thes real work? I have good credit 738. I owe 60,000 in credit card debt. I'm paying about 2000 a month to get rid of this debt. any suggestions?
I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM... PROBABLY NOT FREE (didn't read them) If you have to pay more than you are now...DON'T pay them money you can pay the credit cards... Pay the most to the HIGHEST INTEREST RATE CARD, first...when that card is paid off...move to the next highest rate card... DON'T SPEND ANYTHING MORE ON THE HIGHEST RATE CARD OTHER THAN A TANK OF GAS AND PAY IN FULL (2 or 3 times a year)...to keep it CURRENT...
Many of these programs charge large fees, although they don't tell you that up front. If you search here and on the web, I'm sure you'll find lots of info. Sometimes they don't pay your bills for a month or so until they collect their fees. This is also noted on your credit report, and many feel it is as bad as or worse than bankruptcy. You have good scores, so I assume you can keep your bills paid. You should also have decent interest rates. Do what GEORGE suggests. Pay only the minimum on everything except the highest interest rate. Pay all the extra to the account with the highest interest rate. When it's paid off, add what you were paying on that to the minimum on the next highest card, and that becomes your payment for that card. Continue until they're all paid off. If you use a card once it's paid off, make sure it's for things that you have the money for, so you pay it all at the end of the month. If you can balance transfer some from the higher rate cards to a lower rate card, do it. But make sure you don't charge anything on the card with the balance transfer, because they apply payments to the lowest interest rate first and you'll be accumulating interest charges on the higher rate for a long time, which is what you don't want to do.
sounds like I'm doing the right thing. The programs I listed stated a one time $10.00 payment to the card and with a few well worded letters and a little time.. poof no more debt....
If you can get your current HIGHER RATES to the bottom of the list by BT or by them reducing the interest rates...GOOD!!! KEEP PLUGGING AWAY!!!
