I need some advice. Back on 11/96 we filed BK 13. You would think that things could not get worse but they did. BK 13 was dismissed in 10/98. Well heres the query: last year we obtained a mortgage and they verified our accounts including the ones that were in Bk 13.
Now that all the accounts came off due the 7yr SOL, two CA have sent us letters that they have purchased our accounts from First Bank and MWARDS. Mwards was sold to Sherman Accq and First Bank to Northland.

Sherman Inq has reported to all 3 CRA's. Here is how each one list them.
    TRANS( $620.00 owed)
Sherman Accq: Bk Dismissed - Update 05/02 - Open Date 5/99 - Open account.
    EQ
Sherman Accq: Opened date - Last Activity- 10/95 - Open 120+Days passes due
    EXP
Sherman Accq: Open 05/99 -REp date 02/02 - Statu: BK 13 Dismissed /Collection acct
OC- mwards - Status Detail- this acct is schd to continue on record until 10/02 - Acct History bk 13 dismissed 02/22/02.
MWARDS original info was: open date 01/94- Profit and loss writeoff-account closed.

Northland has not yet reported. They have just contacted him by mail. They orignal info for First Bank was: Open date:10/93- Last payment: 11/94-profit loss write off.($2,489.00 owed)

These were just my husbands accts. My reports are not showing adverse info. Please help me figure out what to do. Does the SOL change because accts are sold. Does the date purchased start the 7yr SOL again.

Any help that i can get would be great.

Jessica, we responded to this question, you must have "lost" the thread (it happens). If you lose a thread from a question you asked, you can search for all posts under YOUR username to "FIND" the lost thread (see how to SEARCH in the FAQ).

Here is a link to the answer

Info about the 7 year question is in the FAQ

And finally, here is a link to the beginning of the previously lost thread.
