    Does debt validation work on medical collections that are almost five years old?

    Validation works. Especially since most CAs don't care to and/or not able to validate. Depends also on the age and dollar amount of the debt.

    Be persistent and patient.

    My medical collections are almost 5 years old, so I doubt they have proof by now. And they probably won't even respond to my letters anyway, which works in my favor.
