Beware! Those Snakes at Discover Card Services when contacted by phone I told them of my previous Chapter7 in 2002 and I explained because of medical Problems incurred in that year but since then I have had a clean record and strived to avoid any dings that would hurt my profile as I try and recover from my past problems especially when I'm looking into purchasing a home in the near future. The Agent was agreeable and said this would not impact me in any manner and if anything it would help me. But I was declined and sent a letter in the mail and the reason was Bankruptcy with a few suggestions including closing any open unused credit lines... Now according to FICO scoring models from what I gather you should not just cut up cards and close your unused accounts because that amounts to Credit History Length Suicide. Don't Trust them They are Snakes with Deceptive Reps. By the way, all my Scores I got updated from FICO the FAKO Score is from Free Credit Report These Scores were updated just previous to the conversation with said Agent.
