Hello Board, it has been quite some time since I've been on here. Wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience and what they did. I have a student loan from Grad School which went into defualt MANY years ago. This law firm, Zwicker and Associates contacted me recently to "settle" the account or begin making monthly payments. They are pushing the settlement heavy. I do not have the money to meet the settlement amount and have been toying with the idea of paying the full balance. In doing so, should I tell this law firm to take a hike and I intent to deal with the delaere directly? I'mnot even sure who they are at this point but I could probably find out. Or do I have to keep dealing with these attorneys? They also want me to put down a down payment even if I agree to pay the full balalnce in full. Anyone out here have any similar experiences? Thanks.
