   Can a debt buyer buy a deficiency balance from an auto repo, and attempt to collect on it as some debt buyers buy credit card debt? Anyone know this or where to find info on it? I am out of searches now!

   They sure can. It happens all the time. I just did a Google search on the term "auto deficiency." Here's the URL to check for yourself:
