Should I delete old jobs (just saw a quick reference to this)?

Already disputing old/incorrect addresses with TU and Equifax via certified returned receipt mail. Still planning to go online with Experian.

But do the CU's have an old address on me tied to my jobs? I have my infiles, which I am glad for but the format is not showing if the jobs have an address on me as far as the credit bureaus are concerned.

Will likely pull my report today from Experian as I received my password in the mail the other day. Just have been wating tio gather good info on how to go about it.

Anyway if anyone can answer my above questions I will be grateful.

    bump.
Thinking now about old jobs/old addresses. Maybe it will look bad if I delete old jobs, though. Still wondering.

I would leave only those jobs that would cover a 5 year period, which is what most credit applications will cross-reference.

Employment information is either submitted by your employer or from a credit app you may have filled out.

I'm still a newbie, so you are warned ;)

Actually this is what I would do on old jobs. Did you ever have a judgment that turned into a garnishment tied to a old job? If you did get rid of those old jobs. The only reason you want to have an old job on your report is to verify that you did similar work with a different employer to help with a mortgage application for similar work. Otherwise I would try to get of your old jobs. If you have old jobs or addresses tied to negative accounts get rid of them unless you need them. Usually getting rid of old addresses are a good thing. By the way you can usually get rid of old addresses by just simply disputing them on the phone. What are they going to do really?

Are they going to verify by contacting your old addresses? Think about it, how could they do that?

Thnaks. I was woried the CRA's would check with old employers to confirm my old addresses.

No, no garnishments or anything like that. No current collections. Debt and lates and overlimits, though. One BK about to drop off early next year. Am going to keep old addresses linked to positive tradelines(I am an AU on a few juicy accounts). Otherwise I want to delete the old ones.
