Deleted Loan

Quick question. I disputed a loan that had a 30 day derog stating that I was never late. I received the updated TransUnion report today with that loan deleted all together. When the loan is updated this month after my payment will the 30 day update also? Or am I clean.

    Thanks,
    Jonny

TU is notorious for that. The listing is probably gone forever.

If it re-appears, TU will claim they received new information.

If it does not, and you try to get them to manually re-enter the trade for its positive value, they will claim it is "cloaked" and can not be re-entered when the company reports via tape.

You can't win with these thugs...getting the entire listing deleted is probably the best outcome for you, outweighing any frustration spent getting the listing re-inserted, (although some folks have gotten TU to re-insert) and hopefully it will just remain gone.

    Jonny,

Dave is right. Same thing happened to me with a student loan. However, I _itched and moaned until it was reinserted. They made me jump through hoops to get it be reported correctly but it is now being reported accurately. We will see if they actually update it as the other 2 CRAs do.

Wow... I wonder if that is going to hurt my scores. That is interesting. Its an loan about 2 years from maturity. I wonder if it is better gone with its 30 day derog. Now trans is perfect.
