I was excited to got a letter from a CRA saying the item I disputed was Deleted last month. But this sounds too good to be true. So I called CRA today and guess what? I was told that they can see the result is Updated, not Deleted. But the reason they send me the "Deleted" letter simply because currently the CRA clerks can see it but I cannot. Also I was told it was not clear when the account will be Updated, with more balance of course. This is so unfair. I feel like CRA is working with CA to bully consumers. Does this ever happen to anybody?

I want to DVD CA again but I guess they don't have to response. Because right now officially my account is Deleted. At the same time they are adding fees etc. What can I do?

Has the CA verified it, or not? The CRA has 30 days to "investigate" (45 in the case of a free annual report), and if the CA does not verify in this time, the CRA must remove. The CA can reinsert later, but must then "certify" to the CRA that the reinserted information is accurate, and the CRA must notify you within 5 days of the reinsertion.

The issue is not whether the CRA clerks can see it, but whether other users of your credit reports can see it. If they are blocking it from the reports they send you, but including it in reports they send others, their actions violate FCRA.

File a complaint with FTC and your state AG.
