I'd disputed payment history on 3 of my more "payment-challenged" accounts apx 6 months ago. 2 were open accounts with balances one was a paid closed account. TU deleted the pd closed account and has ignored letters to add it back on with the corrections requested. No big deal it was a small revolving aco**** that had some bad stuff on it and I don't need to chance getting it back on. Experian, deleted both of my student loans when I challenged the payment history. Six monhs later - it has never reappeared. Wondering if its worth it to try to get this added back on from the loan company. I don't want the negative payment history to come back. Any ideas? Experian, deleted payment history from my Car loan - yet the balance is never updated. Its off several thousand dollars now. QUESTION: I'd like to have the balance updated but am worried that they payment history will come back. Is it best to request from the OC to update balance or request EX investigation to update balance. Equifax, deleted my car loan when I challenged the payment history. Six months later - it has never reappeared. I'd like to have this back on but also- If I request the Loan company to do so- won't the history come back to. Any ideas?
I had all 3 delete a car payment when I was going for slow pay removal....TU and EXP put back on when I contacted the loan company WITHOUT putting the slow pays on, but EXQ never put back on. But...the car loan company changed hands, I have know other people who have had the payment history put back when the tradeline went on. I think it is a gamble, but if you're loking for history....
Has anyone had this type of thiing happen- if so what did you do about it? Chances are that this would be a case for turning on the charm with the company, ask them to as a sign of goodwill change the history, and fill out the manual form for re-submission. Remember, under the FCRA, when an account was deleted after the dispute, the company can still submit it on their tapes to the CRA, but the CRA is forced to supress it from being merged into your file, until the company certifies that the dispute is resolved, in writing through the manual update forms. Tell the company that you want the account to report, that you would just like it to have a history which represents your current performance, (in order to use this line, the current performance would have to be spotless) and not the performance from when you were experienceing financial difficulties.
